A Year's Worth of Crooked Sisters!

Maybelle CarterHey y'all.  Hard to believe, but it's been just about a year to the day
-- July 19, 2007 -- that Crooked Sisters Radio Hour first went on the
air.  There've been some ups and downs along the way and twists and
turns in that crooked road, but it's mostly just been a blast.  How can
it not be, with the chance to celebrate my favorite women in roots,
Americana, country, bluegrass and beyond, starting with Mother Maybelle Carter and moving on through country music's history.  Not just the one-namers like
Emmylou and Gillian and Loretta and Lucinda and Iris but the lesser
known though wonderfully talented folks I've had the good fortune to
discover, folks like Patti Casey, Red Molly, Angela Easterling, and far
too many to list here.  So tune in and help me, your host Lauryn
Shapter, celebrate a Crooked First Birthday!  And if you happen to be
listening locally, don't hesitate to stop in and say hi or give the
station a call!

Hooray!

Happy Birthday Crooked Sisters!
