reunions

The 35th reunion of the Fairfield High School Class of 1973 this weekend was shaken by reports that one of their own classmates had ousted beloved KRUU-chief James Moore from the helm of his popular Saturday night "Blues Cruise" show. Waving a copy of The Quill yearbook and muttering darkly about "The Things I Used To Do", the unkempt buccaneer proceeded to barricade himself in the KRUU studio where the sounds of Champion Jack Dupree's "Weed Head Woman" alternated with Muddy Waters' "She Moves Me".
Station management suggested that a series of requests by listeners for such up-tempo numbers as "Red Hot Boogie", "Rock the Joint", "Hip Shakin'" or "Rockin' at the Coconut Top" might persuade the arthritic interloper to attempt to dance, thereby guaranteeing that he would fall, and, inevitably, not be able to get up.
