War and Peace with Jerry Yellin

In honor of Indpendence Day, this week's show is a rebroadcast of our 2008 interview with Jerry Yellin, author of “Of War and Weddings” and “The Blackened Canteen." Jerry is also a co-founder of LISCO, Fairfield's Local Internet Service Company.

Mr. Yellin flew figher jets in WWII and his book “The Blackened Canteen”  tells the story of one Japanese man whose compassion toward fallen American soldiers reesulted in a tradition that lasted to today – a day of prayer for peace.
