With apologies to the River People out there, Shoegazer's next two installments are light on the folk and shading towards New Wave with a healthy dose of late summer pop thrown in for good measure. We've got newly minted
tracks from Wild Nothing, The Raveonettes, Freelance Whales, Grizzly Bear, Kisses, Cat Power- and as always- we have a host of new bands for your perusal, including Blonde Summer, Blonds (theme developing?), Ombre, Pure Bathing Culture, WIN WIN and many more. Saturday evenings at 6 and Thursday mornings at 9. Barefoot people welcome.

Shoegazer is taking liberties with all the 80's-inspired tracks we have in store for you over the next two installments of the show, but we feel excused for our saccharine leanings as the artists pedalling the era's sound have found ways to
freshen it up while retaining its ubiquitous optimism. We've also got a healthy dose of folksy realism to balance things out. On deck is new music from Wild Nothing, Passion Pit, Purity Ring, Western Affairs, Blonde Summer, Sea Wolf, Twin Shadow, Sleep Party People and many more. Saturday evenings at 6 and again Thursday mornings at 9. For that happy, end of summer lethargy.

Shoegazer engages in a little blatant promotion this week and next. On deck are two tracks from little known band Tuff Jerks, the project of local musician Jason Hennesy. His self-titled DIY (that's Do It Yourself for the uninitiated) album is one that defies neat
encapsulation- it's nuanced in a way that's unusual to hear in seminal projects. In addition we've got new music from Twin Shadow, Freelance Whales, Pale Seas, White Arrows, Tycho, Western Affairs, The Tallest Man On Earth and more. Saturday evening at 6 and again Thursday morning at 9. Always free but never easy.

It seems as though we're on permanent hiatus these days,
but we made a special effort to glean the last bit of energy from our tired bones. Over the next two weeks the Shoegazer playlist includes newly minted tracks from Young Man, Beach House, Best Coast, Sigur Ros, Crocodiles, The Walkmen and many more. Tune in Saturday night at 6 and again Thursday morning at 9. Catch us before we abscond again.
Clearly lacking a sense of accountability we've been slacking in our charge of providing fresh cuts for you each
week. We hope the plethora of new music, and I mean untouched and untried, we've unearthed for the next two shows will make up for the oversight. The line-up includes newly minted tracks from Beach House, Best Coast, Way Yes, Phantogram, Tycho, S. Carey (of Bon Iver), Carrousel, The Rest, Dana Buoy and many more. Saturday night at 6 and again Thursday morning at 9. Olive branch firmly extended.
Listen to Shoegazer Ca Va? anytime at live365.com. Remember to omit the question mark when searching! You can also check out our past playlists for all the music you've missed right here on kruufm.com.
The year 2012 has been a good year for independent artists--creative people without the money an
d hype of big-time labels, studios, and names.
This week I'll introduce you to some indie artists you likely won't have heard of before (like Revolver, Way Yes, Jane's Party [left] and the Magnetic Fields whose "Andrew in drag" is a hilarious ramble), and I'll also play the for
mer indie darlings who inspired and influenced them like Of Montreal, The Shins, Flaming Lips, and Fleet Foxes--all of whom released CDs in 2012.
I'll also preview three songs from the Beach Boys new CD, scheduled for release later this year. I think you'll be impressed: their harmonies still shine like rainbows reflecting sunlight.
Shoegazer is back with a brand new edition, meek and chastened for having been on hiatus a long age. By way of apology we humbly submit newly minted tracks from Of
Monsters and Men, La Sera, Tanlines, Vacationer, The Walkmen, Horse Feathers and Fanfarlo, as well as offerings from promising acts Caveman and Lux, among others. Saturday evening at 6 and rewound Thursday morning at 9. Listen in for less of the same.

Now that we've returned from the gluttony of a show (or more) per night for the last week we thought we should share what we found. The line-up includes fresh
cuts from Fanfarlo, Tanlines, Bahamas, Bowerbirds, Deep Sea Arcade, Deportees, Lower Dens and many more. Saturday evening at 6 and again Thursday morning at 9. We're here for you epicurious audiophiles.

Shoegazer is brimming with great new music over the next two shows. Our cup truly runneth over. The line-up includes cuts from Beach House (the first single off their soon to be released new album), Idaho's phenom Youth Lagoon, the sweet sorrow of Perfume
Genius, Frankie Rose, Fanfarlo, Francis, Princeton, Santigold, Hospitality and more. We've also got tracks from Sharon Van Etten and Dirty Beaches, two artists playing the upcoming Mission Creek Festival in Iowa City from March 27th-April 1st (missionfreak.com).
Saturday evenings at 6 and rewound Thursday mornings at 9. Tune in to hear all the music worth hearing that you've never heard of.
Is that true? I hope not because Shoegazer is blessed with all three of its wayward hosts for the show this weekend. The music includes brand new cuts from Fanfarlo, Oberhofer, Sharon Van Etten, Tennis (right) and
Beach Fossils, as well as great tracks from acclaimed albums by M83, Neon Indian, Stephin Merritt, Hooray For Earth and Youth Lagoon, among others. Saturday evening at 6 and rewound Thursday morning at 9. David promises to be the dumb blonde.
