Iowa State Bank and Trust Company has notified KRUU that they will act as a drop off location the donations to the American Red Cross Floods of 2008 Disaster Relief Funds. This will make it easier for donors to give to the flood relief cause, by stopping in the bank or giving a teller either cash or check to be designated to the local, eastern Iowa regional and state flood relief program of the American Red Cross.
So far, the flood response in the Midwest has cost about $15,000,000, and the Red Cross estimates it could reach as high as $40,000,000.

Rivers, rain and flooding have been on everyone's mind here in Iowa lately. While we've been fortunate to have some nice sunny days lately, the rivers are still swollen and the crisis isn't over for some. For the people who have lost their homes and businesses, the road to recovery has only just begun. Some of the hardest hit are the artists and musicians without insurance who have lost equipment, portfolios, tools, studios, housing and more. Legion Arts and the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation has set up an artist relief fund where you can donate to those in need:
