It's almost Halloween again, time for all vampires, werewolves, witches, zombies, and ghosts to come out to play. Or dance. Fairfield Art of Dance owner Tiffany Sanner will be our guest once again on A Reasonable Alternative to talk about the upcoming Howloween Dance Thriller on Sunday, October 30, 2:00 in the Sondheim Center.
We were a bit early for Halloween with our dance from May when we choreographed and performed a vampire themed dance to Beck and Bat for Lashes' "Let's Get Lost" (see pic). This time we decided to create an angry she-wolf dance to the high-energy Florence + The Machine song "Howl." I view this dance as a cautionary tale to all men: if you push a woman too far she might become a beast and "tear out all your tenderness." You've been warned.
Listen this Friday June 20 at 9PM-10PM to special guest star
DJ Astro Raph on the StevieMix show. He'll be dropping some sick mixes with me-anything goes and this man can mix anything. We'll have house, techno,hip-hop,polka,gregorian chants, ragtime, freedonia folk dances and more:) -really just great dance tracks. Astro Raph grew up in Fairfield and now is a professional dj with mad skills performing 5 nights a week in Maui.

This is dance week (Friday 9PM-10PM) on the StevieMix Alternative Dance Show and we'll be dropping tracks from the far corners of the music universe. We'll kick off with some house music from David Guetta vs. The Egg. We have an electronic track found on Jamendo, a site recommended by KRUU's Sundar Raman. Jamendo has free (donation optional) music from indie bands you can legally download.
