It's the Filmosophers movie talk show, with co-hosts Chris Busch and Bruce Miller where we give our filmosophy on the movies and have filmosophical discussions.

Today it's mostly about the numbers, as we have a #2- Hellboy and a #3- Mummy showing locally. Opening nationwide is another #2- Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

Just what is a Pineapple Express? We'll talk about it.

It's the Filmosophers movie talk show, where we give our filmosophy on the movies and have filmosophical discussions. With co-host Chris Busch out of town, superstar guest Big Al Green will be in the studio with Bruce Miller.

This is another summer blockbuster weekend, with the opening of two big action adventure films- Journey To The Center of The Earth and Hellboy 2. Hellboy 2 looks great and is getting excellent reviews- "a quintessential summer movie that delivers plenty of inventive thrills." ~ USA Today

We'll talk about that, have reviews of the delightful French film Moliere and more, on this week's edition of the Filmosophers, 12:30 Friday afternoon.

You'll hear reviews of Will Smith's new film Hancock, plus Wall-E, Wanted, The Incredible Hulk and more, including Jim's fave film of the year so far- Kung Fu Panda. Also hear about the new film titled Kabluey, out (in limited release) by first time writer/director/actor Scott Prendergast. You'll hear about the new releases in theaters this week-The Incredible Hulk, Marvel's second release of the summer, after Ironman and M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening. Is Marvel's version of The Hulk better than Ang Lee's 2003 release? Is M Night Shyamalan a one-hit wonder with his first film The Sixth Sense?

Kung Fu Panda is held over at the Co-Ed Theater in Fairfield. It's getting excellent reviews nationally- what do the Filmosopher's think?

Friday is Forest Miller's 13th birthday! Forest is looking forward to enjoying the All Things Italian Art Walk. He may also enjoy Kung Fu Panda, opening Friday in Fairfield on the break. "Jack Black voices Po the Panda, who is a kung fu fanatic but whose shape doesn't exactly lend itself to kung fu fighting." Also starring Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan and Lucy Liu. Believe in yourself!

You Don’t Mess With the Zohan starring Adam Sandler opens wide, including Ottumwa. Co-written by Judd Apatow, Sandler "returns to the ridiculous."

It's The Filmosophers Movie Talk Show, with Chris Busch & Bruce Miller. The Wachowski Brother's created one of our all-time fave films: THE MATRIX. So we've been anticipating their latest creation: SPEED RACER for many months. Currently only 35% of the reviews available on Rottentomatoes.com are positive. The consensus: "Overloaded with headache-inducing effects and without a coherent script." Ouch! Looks like SPEED RACER is no IRON MAN, which is held-over at the Co-Ed Theatre in Fairfield. There are now 178 reviews of IRON MAN on Rottentomatoes, 165 are positive. That's a whopping 93% approval rating for a comic book movie. Filmosopher's co-host Chris Busch will add his review Friday. It's the Filmosophers Movie Talk show, with co-hosts Chris Busch and Bruce Miller, where we give our filmosophies on the movies and have filmosophical discussions. Iron Man is opening "on the break" at the Co-Ed Theatre in Fairfield. That means it's officially the start of the summer movie season! Yes, it gets earlier every year, but that's a good thing- a great thing for movies fans. Superstar guest Big Al Green and Bruce- The Big B From St Louie- Miller will have reviews of Iron Man. This film is getting excellent buzz. There are currently 131 reviews for it at Rottontomatoes.com and 124 are thumbs up! A 95% approval rating with over 100 reviews is awesome for a comic book flick! Hear what the Filmosophers think of it Friday afternoon.

Far-out. Right-on & solid. It's the Filmosopher's movie talk show, where co-hosts Chris Busch & Bruce Miller give their filmosophies on the movies and have filmosophical discussions. Friday we're once again honored to be joined by Master Big Al Green. Big Al has several films to review, including Leatherheads, some of which was filmed in his home town and high school in Greensboro North Carolina. Big Al will discuss that and other films, including August Rush "wonderful, you should see it if you haven't already"; Kinky Boots; No Reservations; There's No Business Like Show Business and more. Meanwhile, Chris Busch will have reviews of SweeneyTodd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street; Before The Devil Knows You're Dead; 21 and more. Bruce will be there as ballast for these two high Spirits.
