Notice to the Fairfield Community Regarding Low Power FM License

Fairfield Youth Advocacy, Inc. is exploring the possibility of transferring the LPFM license (formerly KRUU-LP 100.1 FM)  to a local community organization for the purpose of creating a community radio station. Interested organizations should respond with a Letter of Interest (should be less than a page!) to with the following information:

  • Organization overview and mission

  • List and bios of board members

  • Overview of current programs within the community

  • Vision of the community radio station they would implement should they receive the LPFM

  • Contact person and phone/email for follow-up questions

The Fairfield Youth Advocacy, Inc. board will receive LOIs until the end of March 2018, after which a decision will be made regarding whether to pursue a transfer of the license.

NOTE: Should a transfer be pursued, FYA will provide the transmitter, cabling and antenna only, and not the tower, real estate and other studio equipment. If the proposing organization is interested in these assets, please note the same on the Letter of Interest and provide evidence of financial capability to acquire the station building and assets.
