Math Rock & Indie Rock

In the first half of this Tuesday's edition of That Righteous Jive, we'll be listening to some great post-rock and math rock featuring Chicago-based quartet The Earth Is A Man. We'll hear from their 2011 eponymous debut LP, as well as the EP they released last week: Pargon. On top of that we've got An Aesthetic Anaesthetic and Waking Aida.

In the second half of the show I've got some great indie rock featuring Kingston, a group from Ireland, and their 2013 eponymous debut EP. We'll also hear from whysowhite and Mike Dillon's Band

Stream it live July 15th, 5-6pm CDT right here on KRUU radio.

Alternative Rock & Blues On The After Hours

We'll be listening to some great alternative rock and blues on this Saturday night's edition of The After Hours. From this year, we have: Morning Phase by Beck, Turn Blue by The Black Keys, plus a few tracks from Jack White's second solo album Lazaretto, which comes out next week.

On top of that we've got This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About, the debut album from Modest Mouse, who will supposedly be releasing a new album this year (though at this point I'm a little skeptical).

Finally we'll be finishing out the night with some downtempo electronica courtesy of Oakland-based producer Broke For Free and the LP he released earlier this week: Petal. Stream it live June 7, 10pm-12am CDT right here on KRUU radio.
