summer reading

Fizz, Boom Fun! Extending beyond storytime, free Fairfield Public Library activities this summer include insect and animal zoos, science movies, Lego days, and much, much more. Youth Services Director Afton Hallauer has tons of science-related programs planned to keep your kids happy and their reading and science skills fresh.

Learn all about the library's free summer kids' programs and about other organizations' children's activites 1:00-4:30 PM Saturday, June 7th at the library. Even FAIRfest has something special for kids this year: author Jeanette Hopkins will lead a story hour replete with singing, dancing, and juggling at the library 2:00-3:00PM Saturday, June 21st. For a detailed description of the many ways you can head off your kids' summer complaints about boredom, tune in to The Studio with Cheryl and Afton this week.
