Back To The 80s!

The 80s

Remember how great the 80s were?  Remember how we learned from the mistakes of the past that things like that moving factories overseas was a bad idea, that saber-rattling rhetoric just made things worse, and that taking care of your own would from now on be a major priority?

Yeah, me neither.

During the decade that saw ketchup declared a vegetable, a man who could barely read a teleprompter dubbed the Great Communicator, Just Say No, Grenada, the Challenger, along with enough scandals to fill a library and other political insanities...well, there were some bright spots.  And one of them was the extremely talented men and women who kept the faith and who kept on producing some truly great music.  So this week and the following two, we'll celebrate their efforts.

Only at the Wildflowers Cafe. Only on KRUU-FM.  See you there.

One Hit Wonders...

You loved 'emOne Hit Wonders, you hated 'em, and by now you've probably forgotten more than you remember.

That's why the Wildflowers Cafe this week will celebrate those hits that came and went in what seems like the blink of an eye.

So take a letter, Maria, because Jimmy loves Mary-Anne, in the summertime, on the night Chicago died.

Which is why we all need to gather at the Yellow River and do the Monster Mash before Renee walks away.

Monday morning at 10:00am.

See you there.

Because I really can't think of a better way to finish up a great month.

Wildflowers Cafe, Monday at 10:00am.  See you there.
