The Filmosophers Movie Talk

movie theater imageMovie fans, this is your opportunity to create movie venue history. "The new Orpheum Theatre Fairfield (formerly the Co-Ed Theatre) needs an inspiring logo that will symbolize our new community movie theater, that's being redecorated in 1930's Art Deco theme. The Orpheum Theatre invites all artists and wannabe designers to submit their entries for the Orpheum Theatre LOGO Contest! Logo submissions for the contest should be in by April 30th, 2013. The designer of the winning entry will receive free movie tickets" (and perhaps more). More significantly, the winning logo will appear on all things Orpheum Theatre: literature, theater placards, embroidered clothing, business cards, website and Facebook pages, etc etc. Your logo will be a conspicuous and vital part of the progressive, creative portal that is the Orpheum Theatre Fairfield. A powerful addition to any résumé. For details, visit the Orpheum Theatre website: http://orpheumtheatrefairfield.org/ Special K Ken Malloy will stop in the studio to fill in more details and alert us to an exciting Orpheum Theatre event.

The free movie Friday night 7:30 at the FF Library: Academy Award Best Documentary, Searching for Sugar Man tells the incredible true story of Rodriguez, the greatest '70s rock icon who never was. Highly recommended!

As always, we'll tell you about this week at the box office, cover the new releases and talk about what we've seen. We're the Filmosophers, with Chris Busch and Bruce Miller "where we give our filmosophy of the movies and have filmosophical discussions." Fridays at 12:30 PM Central rebroadcast Sunday mornings at 9:00.
