2016: Electronica

A lot of great electronic albums have been dropping this month and on today's edition of Music is My Medication I'll be prescribing you a heavy dose of freshly picked glitch-hop, breakbeats and big funky bass. I'll be featuring Bassnectar and his upcoming album Unlimited, but we'll also hear from new albums by Opiuo, TorInqiteka and a whole lot more. Stream it live Tuesday, June 14th, 5pm-6pm CDT right here on KRUU radio.

Some of the music played is available for free streaming and download from the artists themselves. Check out the playlist here for links.

All new show for The Bass Oasis tonight. Dropping a full set of UK Jackin House. This is the first real house genre I truly like. It's kinda traditional house beats with a nice little off set jack to funk up the boring house rhythm. I hope you all enjoy a less DRTY and a much more funkyDRT mix.

Cheers,

Dstarr

Bass Gold

In preporation for my up and coming blog I've been compiling a track list of what I consider "bass gold". I have a braod rage of appreciation for all dance music, but I tend to favor "bass music", so for the most part tonight's playlist is of that genre, but I also find the bouncey, tight popping sounds of glitch to be irrisitable so I'll be delivering a heavy dose weaved throughout. These are the big beefy EMD tracks that I consider to be jaw-droppingly awesome! There's a lot of incredible music out there, but these are the the beasts that when I first heard it made me loose my mind at there incredible sound design, irresistable grooves and that special indescribable "it" that makes an oustanding EDM track. These are the ones I'm auditioning, enjoy, I will be :)

All new dance beats coming your way and they will not be denied by booty shakers and feet stompers (and head bobbers too)! Featuring some long awaited releases (Vindicate by Datsik and Excision is OUT OF THIS WORLD AWESOME!!) and some surprising killer trap remixes! Tune in 4-5pm to get your Da da da DANCE on!!
