LaFave album cover

This week we'll be highlighting the brand new album by Austin singer-songwriter Jimmy Lafave.

This new album is his first studio release in five years and includes LaFave's originals and covers of songs by Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. It features the souful voice and ballads that have made LaFave a standard on the roots rock music scene for decades.

We'll also be playing new music by Rose Cousins, Shaw Brothers Band, Joel Kroeker, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow and Paul Thorn.

Some of the best music in our great nation has come from the state of Texas. So this week our spotlight will be focused on the singer-songwriters born in the Lone Star state. And it's not just cowboy music. I'm talking folks like Norah Jones, Radney Foster, Michael Martin Murphy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Sahara Smith, Lyle Lovett, Edie Brickell, J.D. Souther, Chris Duarte, Willie Nelson, Donal Hinely, Hayes Carll and Chris Whitely.  And to top it off we'll be doing a special feature on Jimmy LaFave. The Austin based singer-songwriter who has been stirring the hearts of roots rockers for more than 20 years.  So 'tune in and check out' all the variety that Texas has to offer!
