thursday tonight...you'll be going into a trance...if you're driving, pull over to the side of the road...if you're at home, put on headphones...and breathe...

This week, eastern melodies make their way into modern groove, dance, and trance music.
(Let's face it: you're probably not going to be dancing during this week's show, but you can use it to get some housework done.)

The playlist is here.
The shamanic traditions can facilitate transcendance through refinement of sound and breath.
Pulsations of drums, chanting, mantras, rhythms, and breath, lead awareness to progressively subtler forms of sensory experience, beyond ordinary waking and dreaming: visions and pure awareness...
This week I play music that is used by psychotropic pioneer and transpersonal teacher, Stanislav Grof, as an aid to his holotropic breathing practices. The music will create rhythms, silence, and unique internal spaces. The best way to experience it is with headphones or in a silent environment (be sure to stop your car and pull over), breathing deeply and regularly, letting your brainwaves go alpha, beta, and fractal.
The first half of my show will take you up and energize; the second half will bring you back down and harmonize.
