The Filmosophers Movie Talk

The Filmosophers saw The Social Network. It is rated among the top 5 of all the films reviewed in 2010 on Rottentomatoes.com. Do we feel it's "As socially significant to this generation as films like Network, All The President's Men and The Graduate were in their own time"? Do we believe "As of today, it's the best American picture of the year, likely to sweep Oscar nominations and awards"? Do we align with "the new gospel: the geek shall inherit the earth"? We'll talk about it.

We have a new weekly feature called The Filmosophical Pick of The Week. This week hasn't been decided yet. It's between the new DVD release The Secret Of Kells, Oscar nominated last year for Best Animated film, and a documentary we found at the Fairfield Library titled Genghis Blues, nominated for an Academy Award in 2000 for Best Documentary.
