Tarcher/Penguin publicist Shanta Small on Writers' Voices 8am Monday
Shanta Small, formerly of Fairfield, is currently the Associate Director of Publicity
and Marketing at Tarcher/Penguin, an imprint of Penguin Group USA, Inc. She has worked with both adult and children's book authors, including Judy Collins (The Seven T's), Julia Cameron (The Artist's Way), Martha Frankel (Hats & Eyeglasses), Carl Hiaasen (Flush), Markus Zusak (The Book Thief), and John Feinstein (Last Shot).
She currently has the pleasure of working with Australian mountaineer Lincoln Hall, whose memoir, Dead Lucky: Left for Dead on Mount Everest, is due out May 15th. This summer she’ll publicize singer-songwriter Janis Ian’s much anticipated autobiography, Society’s Child. Before joining Penguin, Shanta promoted books and authors at Random House Children's Books, Henry Holt and Harry N. Abrams.
Join Monica and Caroline Friday April 18 from 1 to 2 (rebroadcast Monday April 21 at 8 am) to learn how major publishing companies promote their books.
