Holocaust memoirist, Dr. Vernon Katz discusses his beautifully-written recently-released book, The Blue Salon and Other Follies, about growing up in the 1930s in rural Lippe in the shadow of Nazi Germany.

I was moved very much by this interview.I was born in the sametown in 1941 and only yesterday I heard the name of Dr.Katz in a lecture about Jews in our town.I sometimes go to the Jewish cemetary and I find it very depressing to see Burial stones which only one name on it and a blank on the other side,meant to be for the partner,who was probably transported to a death camp.
I will order the book,because there are also childhood memoriesconcerning the streets and the life of the town,though I was born later.
