It's fair to say that John Williams single handedly brought back the classic Hollywood orchestral soundtracks to the silver screen with his partnerships with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. He has composed the music and served as a music director for more than one hundred films, received forty-five Academy Award nominations making him the Academy's most nominated living person.

He has been awarded five Oscars, seven British Academy Awards (BAFTA), twenty Grammys, four Golden Globes, four Emmys and numerous gold and platinum records. He is considered the 'Billion Dollar Composer' in box office movie sales and has some of the most recognizable music in all of film. Who can't hum themes from Star Wars, Jaws, ET, Indiana Jones, Superman and Harry Potter just to name a few.

Mr. Williams holds honorary degrees from twenty-one American universities, including The Juilliard School, Berklee College of Music in Boston, Boston College, and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
