Shine the spotlight on French DJ/composer/producer Stephane Pompougnac (photo) whose Hotel Costes CD series will dominate this week's program. Stephane began working as a waiter at Hotel Costes in Paris, France. Eventually, he moved into mixing music and DJ for the now-famous bar and courtyard cafe. Since 1999, he has released 10 volumes of the Hotel Costes series. This week, on Fringe Toast (FT), you will hear a variety of his cool, down tempo, blues-electronica swoon songs from many new groups to the FT scene, including Morten Verano, Villa Black, Orsten, Dutch Rhythm Combo, Shazz, Tosca, Shantel, Orbient, and Jehro. Doesn't it just trip your switch to anticipate the new tracks for your library!? Yet, there are more treats to come...

You'll hear from Roger O'Donnell, Sheila Chandra, the Brazilian Girls, and Fireman (Paul McCartney and DJ Youth collaboration). More precisely, Roger O'Donnell, former keyboard player for the Thompson Twins, Berlin, and The Cure, will share some smooth sounds from his CD, "The Truth in Me." In addition, Indian enchantress Sheila Chandra will reprise her track, "Ever So Lonely/Eyes/Ocean" which was played on the very first program of Fringe Toast in September 2006. If you think you know Paul McCartney, be prepared to hear his experimental music with DJ Youth from the 1997 CD, "Rushes". Oh, yes indeed, it will be another delightful journey through the center of bliss.....
