FRINGE TOAST - Classical Rock to Chillout - Wed., 1/13/10 at 8pm CT

See below for link to play list. This program begins with tracks from the film, "Up in the Air" and includes a 1971 demo by Graham Nash, and intriguing version of "This Land is Your Land" by Sharon Jones & Dap-Kings (used in opening credits) and Dan Auerbach's (aka Black Keys lead) "Goin' Home." Soon, thereafter, you'll hear Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam's recently released CD, Backspacer.

In the classic '70s rock set, your musical sensibilities will be enticed with some of DJ Andy Bargerstock's favorite fringe tunes including Harvey "The Snake" Mandel's (photo left) "One Way Street", Peter Green's "I Can't Help Myself", and Deep Purple's "The Shield." If you recognize these tracks by name, you hung out in all the right places back then, or you have been a loyal listener on our show, Fringe Toast.

As the evening unfolds, more fabulous newly discovered music will come your way. More delightful tracks from Pete Droge, Tosca, Allie Moss, Maria KcKee, Nickodemus and William Orbit. Who really wants to take the chill out of the air when it sounds soooo good! Mark your calendar. Tell a friend. Click here for playlist. Seriously, where else can you hear such a play list.
