Lots of new FT artists this week. Anchor spots held by Massive Attack and Bird York (photos). UK's Massive Attack, generally credited as one of
the inspirational bands for trip hop style of downtempo music, offers "Pray for Rain", a haunting 7-minute track that really takes off musically about half-way through. In the other hand, Bird York, actress and sometimes singer-songwriter will perform "Had a Dream" from her CD, Wicked Little High -- one of DJ Andy Bargerstock's personal favorites that will get you dancing and singing.
Throughout the evening there will be many delightful surprises from new FT contributors including Pete Droge, Francois Couture, Jolie Holland, Tarmac, Time Love Lee, Mike Monday, Grizzly Bear, Wovenhand, and Aphex Twin. The chill-out session in the second hour will feature dazzlingly soothing delights from electronic bands: M83,Trentemoller, Sounds from the Ground, Blank & Jones, Eastern Sun, and Tosca. Give thanks to the musical rennaisance within which we are blessed. If you listent to Fringe Toast, you know it. Spread the word! Click here for playlist.
