Listening to the Movies: Music From Hitchcock's Films Sept 9 3-4PM CTS


As with any masterpiece, it's time to return from time to time to composer Bernard Herrmann, generally regarded today as one of the greatest of all film composers. Herrmann is most closely associated with director Alfred Hitchcock and wrote the scores for every Hitchcock film from 1955 to 1964. Today's show will feature several selections from Herrmann's scores for "The Wrong Man", "North by Northwest", "Vertigo" and "Psycho". In addition, two other composer's BIG Al employed: Franz Waxman's 1954 score for "Rear Window" and John Addison's 1966 score "Torn Curtain". Don't miss this one Wednesday, Sept 9th 3-4PM.
