Audio Editing Tools and Applications
Toolsets, libraries, and applications that can be used for custom applications that we need at KRUU.
At present the following tools look interesting:
Jokosher: http://jokosher.org. Jokosher has promise as a simple audio editing platform, and it's written in Python, which makes it a good candidate to re-constitute to our needs.
mp3splt: http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net/mp3splt_page/home.php. The command line version of mp3splt is very good. The GTK version is very buggy. It may be a worthwhile project to put effort into making mp3splt-gtk more stable, for use at KRUU.
mpgedit: http://www.mpgedit.org/mpgedit/. This is an interesting x-based project, and needs to be tried out. It may be a good alternative to mp3splt-gtk
