Jake Williams (Lee)

Hi Clayton -

Jake Williams is an old friend of mine. Warren DeMartini and I used to have a band called Tyrant in the early '80s & Jake had a rival band called "Teaser." After our band split, Jake eventually set him up with the Ratt gig via another mutual friend and San Diego band leader, Stephen Pearcy (Mickey Ratt). Jake got an offer to play with Ronnie James Dio, and Warren was his replacement. Of course, the Ozzy gig came after that via Dana Strum. We did several dates with both bands (Teaser and Mickey Ratt) in '79 and '80 while Warren and I were in High School.

I still keep in touch with Warren, and used to see Stephen and the band when touring, but since the legal fight over the Ratt name I've lost touch with Pearcy. Jake and Warren still keep in touch.

If you're interested in some unknown history of that time period, Lemme know.
