ChefsFeedAfter two weeks on the road, I am more convinced than ever that ChefsFeed is the one go-to app to have on your smart phone if you want the best restaurant recommendations.  The content on the site is chef-driven, and top name chefs, too.

The app is clearly focussed on presenting you concise information on where the best chefs like to eat, and what their favorite dishes are on the menu.  Jared Rivera, co-founder of ChefsFeed is my guest on the first half of the show.  Did you know that people can still get gout?  Listen in and find out how Jared and gout had two encounters.

Check out my article about the app in iPhone Life href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwSiBP2f272qRDVJSklsRDQ1cVk/view?usp=sharing">here.

No need to troll through Yelp and figure out if a particular reviewer is credible once you have ChefsFeed.  For example, while in Sarasota last week I checked out Sardinia (turned out to be an outstanding spot and you can hear more about it on the show), and luckily I wasn't swayed by the following review:

"We decided to try Sardinia based on the glowing reviews on another website.  After eating there, I can hardly believe it.  The meal started out with stale bread.  I can get better bread at Publix Bakery.  The flatbread, which was raved about in other reviews,  was tasteless and hard.  Our portions were skimpy and overpriced, and my seafood was overcooked.  You have to dress your own salad with oil and vinegar because they don't make salad dressing. What's up with that?  The service was fair to poor and we weren't even offered cheese for our pasta, which was overcooked and appeared to be right out of a box rather than home made.  We obviously will not be returning, and neither should you!"

When it comes to where to eat and what to eat I will bow to the recommendations of excellent chefs anytime.  I'll let you in on some other great spots and a few anecdotes from my recent travels in the second half of the show.

Next week we are live at Green Building Supply on Tuesday, February 3 at 7:00 pm with LA chef Nick Trombetta.  Don't miss this once-a-month live show sponsored by Green Building Supply and Everybody's Whole Foods.
