Honored as one of "50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World" by Utne Reader in 2008, playwright and disability rights activist Susan Nussbaum wrote her first book, Good Kings Bad Kings, recently and promptly won the PEN/Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction.

Published by Algonquin Books in 2013, Susan's debut novel was the 2013-2014 Villanova One Book selection. Good Kings Bad Kings also was the Indie Next Pick for 2012 and was included in the In the Margins Top Ten List for 2014.
