Doug Johnson Doug Johns, Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Management for Precor, has more than 13 years of experience in marketing and business, but it’s the past five years he’s spent at Precor that he finds the most fulfilling. An avid distance runner, Doug appreciates working for a company that helps people improve their quality of life by providing products that encourage living an active and healthy lifestyle. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and received his MBA from Wharton Business School. Besides staying active, Doug enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

 

More Background on Doug

 

His first experience with Precor was in 1988 when his parents bought him a Precor rowing machine. He's worked for Precor for five years and doesn't ever want to leave. Previous work experience includes marketing roles at Campbell Soup. Doug thinks that sometimes, the benefits of exercise beyond weight loss, are overlooked. He says:

”Thin is different from fit. There are skinny smokers with bad diets that end up having heart surgery. I’ve seen them - I had heart surgery in 2008 and my time in the recovery ward strengthened my passion to 'evangelize' for fitness."  He believes networked fitness is the trend to watch.
