Beck Retrospective On That Righteous Jive

Beck is one of my favorite artists out there today, and one of the few musicans I know of who has consistently switched styles over the years and somehow managed to pull it off. He's dabbled in everything from punk rock to blues/folk to pop and electonica. Rumor has it that he'll be releasing two new albums this year. One will be a proper follow-up to his last studio album, 2008's Modern Guilt, and the other will be an all-acoustic album in vein of his blues/folk album One Foot In The Grave.

On this Tuesady's edition of That Righteous Jive we'll be listening to some tracks from four of my favorite albums by Beck: Geuro, Mutations, Odelay and One Foot In The Grave. We'll also check out his reimagining of David Bowie's "Sound and Vision" which he performed earlier this year. Stream it live July 16, 5-6pm CDT right here on KRUU radio.
