I thoroughly enjoy listening to songs like last week, where you are not quite sure what the heck is going on. This week, you know what is going on when you hear the lyric, and it could be an eye-opening experience. For instance, we will hear The Beatles 'Why Don't We Do It In The Road, and Frank Zappa's 'Brown Shoes Don't Make It'. You may also remember the song Elanore by The Turtles. Their use of the word étcetera completely damaged the emotional content of the song, which was awesome. Check out the actor Steve Martin doing Átheists Don't Have No Songs. It turns out he is an accomplished banjo player. Perhaps my favorite song of the day is an old Red Hot Chili Pepper song called Mommy, Where's Daddy? Very tongue in cheek. Some other highlights arrive courtesy of Les McCann, Todd Snider, T-Bone Burnett, and Yo La Tengo. The G Man
