In 1970, Pink Floyd (photo) collaborated with UK composer Ron Geesin to create the innovative 23-minute, 6-part. rock-classical-fusion, Atom Heart Mother Suite completed with rock, brass, cello, and choral elements. On this program, you will hear how DJ Andy Bargerstock has modified the beginning, middle, and ending of this classic piece.  See if you can determine where he has slips in five minutes from another Floyd composition, Cirrus Minor.  The second special delight of this program comes in the form of the music of Sixto Diaz Rodriguez whose life as an international musician has garnered solid attention in the 2012 film documentary, Searching for Sugarman.  You will hear from this American legend "who never was" from his 1970 Cold Fact LP.  Amazing to hear how contemporary his songwriting fits into today's musical milieu.
