I am pleased to announce two live interviews this week. First Pieta Brown (left) will be phoning in to talk to us about her new album, Mercury, and her upcoming performance at Cafe Paradiso on Friday night. I'll also be playing selected cuts from Pieta's hot new CD recorded in Nashville with Mark Knopfler (of Dire St
raits fame) and his touring band.
Then, we'll have Anais Mitchell (right), live in the studio for a tea time chat about her current tour, her traveling 'band' of musicians, and her amazing, highly acclaimed new album: Young Man in America. Of course we'll also be chatting about what we can expect at her show tonight (Tuesday) at Cafe Paradiso. Before and after the interview I'll be playing Anais' newest CD which features amazing songs, deeply layered instrumentation and the creative production of Todd Sickafoose.
Plus the usual great Roots Rock tunes by Bonnie Rait, Lori McKenna, Chris Isaak, Bob Dylan, Brooke Miller, Jimmy LaFave, Bon Iver and Eilen Jewell as time allows.
