After our last song from last week catches us up I am playing the album called 'Just Colour' by The Lollipop Shoppe. It includes songs that were released under the band name The Weeds, a prior incarnation with lead singer and guitarist Fred Cole. Fred has gone on to bands like Dead Moon. There is an emotional urgency to these songs that is truly heartfelt. This is my favorite kind of record because it includes garage rock, melodic folk, and vintage introspective psych.
At the start of the 3 O'Clock hour we will get into 'Glass and Bone' by Parton Kooper Planatarium. This is off the static cult record label, now defunct, that used to give away their music for download. Maybe they will charge for it the next time. When you hear it you will want it, too, no doubt. It's moody and trippy and loopy, if you catch my drift. The rest of the show is a time bending, shape shifting voyage and your mission is to accept the inevitable change in consciousness that takes place... Cool Breeze
