FRINGE TOAST - SPECIAL Great Food Great Music - Wed., 04/23 from 7pm-10pm
Behold! This week's show will be 3-hours in length starting at 7pm. DJ
Andy Bargerstock will be collaborating with Abundant Planet's "Great Taste Show" with Steve Boss and Kathy Dubois. During the program our world-class chefs will prepare a sumptuous meal complemented with fine Fringe Toast music flavored exotically with Springtime and food themes.
The Fringe Nugget Classic for this week is "A Salty Dog" by UK '70s supergroup, Procol Harum (photo).
In the first half of the program, your taste buds will delight in many flavors similar to what's cooking including William Orbit's "Water from a Vine Leaf", OTT's "Jack's Cheese and Bread Snack", Peter Murphy's "Cuts You Up", Solid Doctor's "Tomato", Ani DiFranco's "32 Flavors", Cowboy Junkies' "Cold Blue Teas", Dory Previn's, "Lemon Haired Ladies", and Corrine Bailey Rae's "Choux Pastry Heart."
As we move into the main course of gourmet pastas, you are likely to hear Duran Duran with "Hungry Like a Wolf", Simon and Garfunkel's "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme," Zero 7's "Fine Social Scene" and "Salt Water Sound." And by the time dessert is served, your ears will be savoring delights such as Moby's "Honey", Sarah McLachlan's "Sweet Surrender", Torch Song's "Sweet Thing", and music from The Raspberries and the filmscore to "Chocolat".
So, this is the week to bring a plate and spoon as well as a cup of tea. Watch out for next week's show with a special tribute to Fringe Music of the early 1970s!
