DON'T MISS US BECAUSE WE ARE REALLY GOING TO BE COOKING!!!!!!!!!

Wallace Farms

Kathy and Steve are going to turn out their own strange twist on Risotto/Paella cooked in the studio during the show, and you are invited to taste the results. Listen and then come by the KRUU studios for a bite when you hear the dinner bell ring. Don't forget to bring a tiny plate or bowl plus your own utensils. We're only supplying the food!

Also, special guest, Nick Wallace of Wallace Farms fills us in on what it takes to run an organic cattle operation in Iowa.

It's Great Taste tonight from 7-8 pm and you are the special guests!

Alan Tardi

I had many great meals at Alan Tardi's restaurant Follonico on 24th street near Broadway in Manhattan before it closed in 2001.

Alan has since moved to Italy and in May of this year his book, Romancing the Vine, was named the winner of the James Beard Foundation's best book in the Wine and Spirits category for 2006.

Learn about life in a small town in Piemonte as Alan reads from his book and we talk about life as seen through the seasons of the vine.

tea time on Great Taste

What would breakfast be like without a good cup of tea?

Most folks in the States wouldn't know because they drink coffee, but the word's most popular beverage is the same stuff that was thrown overboard in Boston harbor over two hundred years ago. We'll explore the diverse world of tea with Tom Eck, founder and owner of Upton Tea Imports.

Brew a cup (no, not from tea bags), sit down, and have a listen!
