CJ HardingSweet Dreams:A Patsy Cline Tribute is coming to The Sondheim, Saturday, November 27. In honor of the show, the next Country Music Jamboree will be featuring plenty of Patsy Cline, including live recordings and more.

I will also be speaking to the star of Sweet Dreams, CJ Harding. She talks about Patsy, the show on Saturday, how her life has been influenced by therole, and tales from the road. She has some fascinating stories to tell.

Tune in for a delightful show in honor of one of music's most legendary voices!

Country Music USABill C. Malone, one of the most respected country music historians, will be my featured guest on the next KRUU Country Music Jamboree. In 1968, the first edition of Bill's book "Country Music, U.S.A." was published. "Country Music, U.S.A." was the first definitive history of country music and has been called "the Bible for country music history." Just recently re-published in it's Third Revised Edition. Bill is also the author of the books "Don't Get Above Your Raisin': Country Music and the Southern Working Class", "Singing Cowboys and Musical Mountaineers" and more. We will be discussing his writings and more.

Don't miss this one folks!

Ken MottetHowdy Neighbors,

My life has gotten pretty busy lately, folks, and I'm going to need to take some time off during the month of October. Don't worry, though, I am not condemning you to a month of re-runs. My pal, Ken Mottet, has graciously stepped up and will be filling in for me while I'm away. Ken grew up in Fairfield, now lives in Chicago, and knows good traditional country, rockabilly, and western swing tunes about as well as anyone I know. He's got some great music lined up for you folks. You'll be in good hands. I know you have come to expect great country music and fun on every single Country Music Jamboree and this month will be no exception!

Ken will take good care of your Tuesday morning country music needs and I'll see you all when I get back.        -Corey

Roger MillerBig River, Way Off Broadway's final musical of their summer season, is opening this Friday, August 13 over at The Sondheim Center. Big River is the musical adaptation of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn with a score by country music legend, Roger Miller.

WOBOn the next Country Music Jamboree, I will be speaking with the director Adam Cates, the musical director, Mark Hanson, and cast member, Mike Ragogna. We will be discussing their upcoming production and the history of this musical. The conversation will air at 11am.

Bill KirchenGrammy nominated musician, Bill Kirchen, is coming to town August 7th. I will be speaking with him on the next Country Music Jamboree.

In 1972, Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen had that top ten hit record, Hot Rod Lincoln. It featured their guitarist, Bill Kirchen, playing his Fender Telecaster. He's been seen singing and picking ever since. Known as the Titan of the Telecaster, King of Diesel-Billy, Kirchen mixes hard country, rockabilly, western swing, and blues to create some fantastic music. I'll be spinning several tunes from Mr. Kirchen, including some from his newest album, Word to the Wise. The interview will air at 11am.

Besides the Bill Kirchen tunes, keep tuned in for songs about guitars, truck driving, and the experiences of the human heart. In a word, country music.
