It's just the lone Hipster on today's H&H, but don't let that get'cha down! I've got some blazin' tracks by electro-house kingpin David Guetta, the classy trance of DJ Tiesto, the Bodyrockin' beats of Moby, the French-core movement pioneers, a.k.a Daft Punk, and of course, the blog-worthy hype of the new Pavement-esque Tape's N' Tapes.
It'll be an unimaginable journey, and it all starts at 5 P.M. tonight; don't be afraid to request!
hope to see you there.

The Hippie and Hipster have re-united for our killa' show today! We've got some fantastic tracks by !!!, [Pronounced Chk-Chk-Chk], some of the more mellow tracks by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, some jamz by the body movin' electro-dance punks, the Faint, the up-and-coming new rave pioneers, Klaxons, and far more insane tunage than you know what to do with!
Be sure to check it - Thursdays [that'd be today!] from 5-6 P.M.
Requests always welcome, and more-or-less always are fulfilled.
Go 'head and place yr requests in a comment on here, or you're more than welcome to call in and do an on-air request. [641.209.1083]
Hope to see you there!

Hello all. It's me, Cameron, just reminding you to turn your dials to 100.1 KRUU-FM LP 5-6 today [Thursday] to hear a brand-spankin' new Hippie and the Hipster. We've got a revolutionary playlist, ranging from up-and-coming new-rave art bands [i.e Klaxons, Xiu Xiu] to some mellow-out ambience, to some raging house beats. (Hopefully soon, I'll have up some self-made tracks, which are always fun)
Requests always welcome, and I DO stress on the always part.
:]
Call in, live a little.
You know the number - 641.209.1083
Hope to hear from ya'!

Hello all.
It's been a while since I posted anything on the website, but I just wanted to tell you all that we have an extra special Block Of Rock today. Late April/ Early May seems to be a month of many indie/alternative music releases, and to celebrate, we're going to play many tracks off of many many new indie albums that have just recently dropped. We have new tracks by the White Stripes, Bright Eyes, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, and The Bravery, so be sure to tune in today at 5-6.
OH. CALL IN, FOOL!
You know the station,
You know the number.
Prizes, requests, awesomeness.
Hello all, 'tis Cameron, just reminding you to tune in to a VERY special Block of Rock (Thurdays at 5-6).
We'll DEFINITELY be playing some of the recent Grammy winners (Including John Mayer, Bob Dylan, and the up-and-coming Wolfmother, and much MUCH more.
Just in case you slept through the Grammy's, or were like me, and didn't bother to tune in =], then you should definitely tune in from 5-6 on Thursdays, on your wonderful 100.1 KRUU FM.
Until next time,
Cameron.
