Heyo!! Tonight we have artist David Somano aka "KeepLove" back on the show to talk about his new folken bass beats! While exploring these incredible women artists, I realized that there is too much power and talent to contain in just one show. This is the part 1 of woman of rock, featuring the legends that started it all: Joplin, Tina Turner, Patti Smith and so many more. Crank it up as we tear it up!!

Tonight on Movers & Shakers we will be interviewing Michelle Paser about her soon to be released book "Runners", a futuristic novel that explores a possible future that comes as a result of the digital age. Set in New York City, Michelle creates a world in which cyber space has become the most desired, sought after and expensive commodity. The story explores themes of equality, the potential damages of a society dependent on technology and the eithics of and possibilities of genetically engeneering human beings. 

I chose to bring Michelle and "Runners" to the show, because I believe that words, stories and ideas are incredible "Movers & Shakers" and for the profound influence of music on her writing. 

Join us as we explore the ins and outs of this fantastic new Sci Fi story and the music that inspired it!

In preporation for my up and coming blog I've been compiling a track list of what I consider "bass gold". I have a braod rage of appreciation for all dance music, but I tend to favor "bass music", so for the most part tonight's playlist is of that genre, but I also find the bouncey, tight popping sounds of glitch to be irrisitable so I'll be delivering a heavy dose weaved throughout.These are the big beefy EMD tracks that I consider to be jaw-droppingly awesome! There's a lot of incredible music out there, but these are the the beasts that when I first heard it made me loose my mind at there incredible sound design, irresistable grooves and that special indescribable "it" that makes an oustanding EDM track. These are the ones I'm auditioning, enjoy, I will be :)

Last Saturday UK bass master SKisM played an unbelievable set in Iowa City. Skating through tracks with the effortless ease of a true bass boss, mixed 8 tracks in the firsst 10minutes with pro ease. There wasn't a person in the crowd that didn't know they were in the presence of a true master. In tribute to the stellar DJ performance by SkisM. I'll be soaking my set with his basstastic tracks and filling it out with other monsters of bass, icluding wickedly funky beats from the new Kill Paris EP To A New Earth for a truly bassalicious power hour! Did I mention I'll be playing BASS?!
