Oi! This Sunday's Drum Show is another not to miss.
Playing for the entire hour will be Montréal-born, newly-NYC-based musician Adam Cháki's album Snowcité.
It demonstrated amazing songwriting and beautiful sounding production that proudly represents the beauty of yet another inspiring musician on this planet.
Check out Adam Chakí at www.AdamChaki.com
I will be playing Bran Van 3000's new album "Rosé".
I've been working with Montréal producer/mastermind James Di Salvio and can attest to his music geniuship.
Seriously. Off the charts.
Listen this Sunday at 5 PM CST.
Bran Van 3000 is an interracial group from a bilingual city playing genre-crossing songs... borders don't make sense to them. Whenever they run into one, they will surely have fun ripping it down. --Ann Powers, NY Times

Oi! It's Ian Fry. Drum Show! This Sunday at 4! I'm playing the full album of Radiohead's new album IN RAINBOWS. They're giving it out free online so be sure to download it at www.INRAINBOWS.com. After that, some kickarse tunes from the 70s 80s 90s and 00s!
Rock on!
Ello, world! Tonight at 5 PM CST (that's 4PM if you're in Panama) will house an hour of flaskback 80s hits.
No bad songs from the 80s you know, but are verifiable hits along with perfected intros and fadeouts.
This is the pilot for a proposed class I will hopefully be giving at the Eastman School of Music next fall if they have the guts to fly it.
HOOhaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!
Woop woop!
It's Ian Fry here checking in before my new Drum Show time of 5 PM tonight.
I will be playing the entire album of Paul McCartney's newest release "Memory Almost Full" followed by the world debut of my new band TEAMING with LIFE.
That will go on at around 5:40 and you can find us at myspace.com/teamingwithlife.
So once again, I have compiled a list of tunes that will make my show incongruous yet satisfying, nostalgic yet refreshing, musical yet not heady. Songs from Weezer will be a big hit tonight.
From the depths of Queens, NY, Over and Out

Yo yo yo! It's me, Ian of Fry. The Show tonight will house some great new music from Virginia folk guitarist Paul Curreri's new album "The Velvet Rut" as well as some great old Turkish political music from Selda.
Check it, I am coming out to the midwest this week.I will be with Andy Friedman and The Other Failures in Chicago on Thursday at the Hideout and Minneaoplis on Friday and Saturday. So, come out of the Fairf and see some great rockabilly/country/in-yo-face-country along with yours truly rockin the drum kit.
See you around town!
I just discovered the blogging capabilities of KRUU FM as per the influence of Sundar Raman. Henceforth, I will post playlists from the Drum Show as well as other musical observations that I deem necessary. Other examples of ME online are:
