Joseph Mario Orsatti has been with the David Lynch Foundation since its inception in 2005. He has traveled throughout the US and Europe with David Lynch speaking at education conferences about the use of the use of the Transcendental Meditation
technique for helping at-risk students. He helped to organize the "Change Begins Within" Benefit Concert at Radio City Music Hall with co-host Paul McCartney in New York City. .
He will tell us about preparations for the concert and what it was like back stage the night of the event.

Mr. Ed Petersen is a former agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During his time with the Bureau, Mr. Petersen investigated a wide range of federal violations including general criminal matters, international and domestic terrorism, and foreign counter intelligence. He has also served as the director of security for major league baseball. Mr. Petersen is currently one of the directors of Buckley Petersen Global, a private investigative and consulting company. He will discuss his role in solving the case of the kidnapping of former Exxon executive, Sydney Reso.

Ariane de Bonvoisin is an author, entrepreneur and an
expert on change. Ariane graduated from the London School of Economics
at age 19, then went on to receive her MBA from Stanford University. In

U.S. Army Colonel (ret) Dan Nolan was one of the first
a growing group of army officiers who have beeen pushing the military
to go green as part of national security. They are known as "the green
hawks". While in the military, Dan was a principal advisor to General
Tommy Franks. He also commanded the 1st Armored Division Artillery. Dan

Sarah Reinertsen
was the first female leg amputee to complete the Ironman Triathlon
World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Sarah was born with proximal
femoral focal deficiency, a bone-growth disorder that eventually lead
to her becoming an above-the-knee amputee at the age of seven. She was
featured on the cover of Runner's World and was named one of the first eight "Heroes of Running" in the magazine. Ms. Rienertsen has also appeared on the cover of Triathlete magazine and Max Sports & Fitness magazine. She also scooped up the well-deserved ESPY award in 2006.
Michelle A. Rhee is the chancellor of the District of Columbia Public Schools system. In 1997 she founded The New Teacher Project, which in ten years has recruited 10,000 teachers in twenty states.

Jack Garcia is considered by his peers and leading FBI experts to be the most successful undercover agent in the history of the Bureau. He was featured on CBS 60 Minutes discussing his book, " The Making Jack Falcone, An Undercover FBI Agent Takes Down a Mafia Family." In his 26 years of service with the FBI, Garcia is best known for his undercover role as "Jack Falcone," who penetrated the Gambino crime family of La Cosa Nostra in New York for nearly three years. Pedro Noguera, PhD, is a professor in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University. He is also the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education and the co-Director of the Institute for the study of Globalization and Education in Metropolitan Settings. An urban sociologist, Noguera’s scholarship and research focuses on the ways in which schools are influenced by social and economic conditions in the urban environment.
Noguera has served as an advisor and engaged in collaborative research with several large urban school districts throughout the United States. He has also done research on issues related to education and economic and social development in the Caribbean, Latin America and several other countries throughout the world.
Patricia Parker is the founder of KIDS FOR KIDS, an organization that helps children living in remote villages in Darfur, Sudan, who live lives of inexcusable hardship. Timothy Patrick McCarthy is a Lecturer on History and Literature, Adjunct Lecturer on Public Policy, and Director of the Human Rights and Social Movements Program at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard University's Kennedy School. Ms. De La Puente-Forte, a graduate of Maharishi University of Management, is a humanitarian aid worker whose focus is Women's rights. Ms. De La Puente-Forte began her work in Calcutta working on an HIV & AIDS project. She also worked in Bangladesh where she founded a project to help adolescent girls who were the victims of early marriage. She then went to Honduras where she worked for the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM). Devanna has worked in Darfur with the International Rescue Committee, as the Gender Based Violence program manager.
Eben Lazarus is a third year economics major at the University of Pennsylvania. He was recently an intern at the DC think tank, the Center for Global Development. Eben is currently in Senegal, studying the economics of the region. He will then go to Mekhe, Senegal to work with a microfinance company. Eben will be speaking to us live from Senegal.
