Ain't That Peculiar
- Thursday 9-11pm
From 9:00 to 10:00 PM, you will hear pop & rock from the 60s until the present. Sometimes Glen plays sets of songs built around a theme--including horrible covers of Beatles songs, Schoolhouse Rock songs, "Gender Benders" (songs originally performed or made famous by an artist of one gender, now covered by an artist of the opposite gender), songs about superheroes and villains, disco songs by non-disco artists, and horrible Christmas songs. From 10:00 to 10:30 PM, you will hear pre-recorded comedy built on one or more themes. You will hear sketch comedy (including Monty Python & National Lampoon), stand-up comedy (including Woody Allen & Steve Martin), comedy readings (including David Sedaris), and comedy songs (including Tom Lehrer). From 10:30 to 11:00 PM, you will hear more of the same kind of music that you heard from 9:00 to 10:00 PM--or sometimes you will hear soul, funk and R&B from the 50s, 60s & 70s, including Stevie Wonder, Sam & Dave, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, the Staple Singers, the Spinners, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
